DEER VALLEY I

Our New York City-based clients wanted a comfortable, playful place to visit when skiing with their four young children, and our main challenge was to incorporate original parts of the home with our new design. We kept the home’s solid wood doors and stained with a semi-transparent stain and opened up the stairwell with a custom metal railing.

Textural elements like the charred Oak hardwood floors and custom steel vent hood in the kitchen hint at the home’s rugged location, while soft elements like a tartan plaid wool bed with alpaca throw pillows invite relaxation. In collaboration with Meghan Meehan
